Job summary

St Mary's Church of England Primary School Horsham is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to support children with a high level of need in EYFS and Year 1, both in and out of the classroom.

You will work closely with the class teacher and Inclusion Leader, delivering targeted interventions and helping pupils reach their academic and social potential. The post runs term-time only, 8:30am–3:15pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications

• Have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Have the ability to work in a team.
• Have interpersonal skills at all levels including with children, parents and staff.
• Be able to cope with physical and mental demands of the job.
• Demonstrate patience, good judgement and common sense.
