Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting on behave of one of schools in Smethwick. A Learning Support Practitioner is needed to work across both schools within the Focus Provision for Autism.

As specialised support staff, you will provide individual and small group support, create resources including visual aids to support understanding, develop key vocabulary and support children with specific targets. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

• Experience of working with autistic children using a range of communication strategies and autism-specific approaches.
• Flexible and adaptable to each child's needs.

You will be working with a range of children across the primary age range and need to be flexible and adaptable to each child's needs. It is vital that you have experience of working with autistic children, using a range of communication strategies and autism specific approaches to teaching and learning.

Ongoing training and support will be given to successful candidates. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our newly reformed Focus Provision.
