Job summary

Engage Education is recruiting a Learning Support Officer to provide 1:1 and small group SEN support in a Tameside secondary school for the full academic year (Sept 2026–July 2027). The role is full-time and based on site, with a Monday–Friday timetable.

Ideal candidates will have experience supporting children in any capacity, with graduates in Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience encouraged to apply. An outgoing, engaging personality and a genuine interest in teaching are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in any capacity.
• Psychology, Education Studies or Neuroscience graduates desirable.
• Outgoing and engaging individual with an interest in teaching.
• Available for full-time work from September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support.
• Creating warm, inspiring atmosphere for students throughout the day.
• Reporting to the school SENCO and communicating with colleagues.
• Working in a secondary school in Oldham for the full academic year.

• Conducting specifically tailored 1:1 & small group support for children with SEN

• Located in one Oldham secondary school for full academic year
