Job summary

Yorkshire Rose College in Doncaster is seeking a Learning Support Lead to coordinate and oversee tailored learning support across the curriculum, ensuring educational, health, and care needs are met. You will work with teaching staff and the leadership team to lead the Learning Resource Centre and allocate staff accordingly.

The role requires GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or equivalent, collaboration within a team, timetable planning, and safeguarding knowledge.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or equivalent.
• Experience of supporting children/young people in educational or care settings.
• Experience of working collaboratively within a team.
• Experience of planning, delivering, and monitoring learning.
• Experience of timetable arrangements.
• Knowledge of CPOMS.
• IT literate with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Understanding safeguarding and child protection.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate high-quality learning support across all sites and activities.
• Oversee day-to-day absence planning to ensure learners receive support.
• Support leadership to deploy learning resources effectively.
• Contribute to the college self-assessment analysis.
• Provide monthly reports and staff performance information to senior leaders.
• Contribute to staff planning to meet learner support needs.
• Monitor effectiveness of learning support provision via multiple methods.
• Collaborate with Curriculum Managers to coordinate timetables.
• Support coordination of examinations and access arrangements.
• Attend college events and manage timetables with curriculum management.
• Support curriculum developments and innovations; maintain admin systems.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Line manages support staff as required; brief staff as appropriate.
• Work with HR to manage staff absences.
