Job Opportunity: Learning Support Assistant

A large special educational needs college based in Croydon, catering to students aged 16 to 25 with Autism, SLD, and Complex Needs, is looking for enthusiastic and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join their team ASAP. The role involves providing general classroom support, with potential duties on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.

Requirements:

1. Commitment to supporting learners with diverse needs, flexibility, and teamwork skills
2. Excellent communication, patience, and enthusiasm
3. Previous SEND experience is essential
4. Knowledge of Makaton, PECs, and sensory approaches is advantageous but not mandatory

Role Details:

• Position: Learning Support Assistant (working with ASD, SEMH, learning disabilities)
• Full-time and part-time options available
• Start ASAP; ongoing until end of the next academic year (July)
