Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Worthing

Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Position: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Worthing. This full-time position involves providing 1:1 support to students with additional needs, assisting them to thrive within a mainstream classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), facilitating access to the curriculum and engagement with learning
• Assist in delivering individual learning plans and strategies tailored to each student’s needs
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel supported and valued
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and track student progress
• Support students with academic tasks and social/emotional development
• Encourage and motivate students to build confidence and independence
• Help manage behaviour and ensure students' safety and well-being at all times
