Lawford Mead Primary & Nursery School is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant, initially based in Year 1. The successful candidate will also supervise and support pupils on the playground during part of the lunchtime break.
Founded in 2015 and becoming an academy in 2017, Lawford Mead Primary & Nursery School received a Good judgement from Ofsted in 2020. A subsequent inspection in March 2025 highlighted the school's effective actions to maintain high standards. The school has invested in staff training in Trauma Perceptive Practice, the ELKLAN approach to speech & language, and neurodiversity awareness. The school uses the Essential Letters & Sounds (ELS) phonics scheme.
Term time only plus INSET days. Working hours: Mondays to Thursdays 8.45-3.15, Fridays 8.45-1.15.
Salary: LS A Scale 3/4 - Points 5-8, ranging from £24,790 to £25,992 (actual salary for 26 hours 45 min: £15,365 to £16,110).
