Job summary

Phoenix Collegiate is seeking a Temporary Learning Support Assistant – Level 2 to support students with additional needs. The role is 31.25 hours per week during term-time plus 5 INSET days, based at The Phoenix Collegiate, West Bromwich. Applicants should have GCSEs at grade 4 or above or equivalent and ideally experience with children in education.

The post is maternity leave cover until July 2027. An enhanced DBS check and safeguarding responsibilities apply.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
• Experience of working with children or young people in an education setting is desirable

Responsibilities

• Supporting individual and group work to raise core skills and assist Personalised Learning Plans
• Assisting students to access the school curriculum and IT resources
• General support to students in line with Education, Health and Care Plans or planned provision
• Assisting in the assessment of students’ attainment and monitoring progress
• Supervision of students on school trips/visits
