Job summary

London South East Colleges (LSEC) is seeking a part-time Student 1:1 support worker to assist learners in a Level 1 culinary introduction. The role involves 3 days a week (Mon, Tue, Thu) 9am–5pm, supporting learners with a range of complex needs, including personal care and mobility assistance where required.

You will help learners access services, develop study skills, and engage with college activities, while maintaining safeguarding standards and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential.
• Ability to build positive, trust-based relationships with learners, staff and carers.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding and barriers faced by learners with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to learners with SEND.
• Support learners with personal care or mobility needs with dignity and respect.
• Help learners access College services and develop learning skills and outcomes in EHCPs.
