Henry Blue Ltd is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to support children and young people aged 3–19 in a specialist education setting in North West London. The role offers pay of £15 per hour, with 32.5 hours per week during term time, and an ongoing temporary contract.

You will work with teachers to tailor learning, assist with activities, and help pupils access learning in a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable.
• A caring, patient and adaptable approach.
• Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning, communication and physical needs.
• Willingness to assist with personal care.
• A valid Enhanced DBS covering both children’s and adults’ workforce is essential.
• Sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Reliability, flexibility and a genuine commitment to supporting pupils’ development.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and personalised learning programmes.
• Encourage communication, social interaction, independence and life skills.
• Support pupils with their emotional wellbeing and behaviour, using a patient and positive approach.
• Assist with daily routines and personal care where required.
• Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet pupils’ individual needs.
