Job summary

Henry Blue Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support young people aged 16-19 with a range of SEND. You will help learners engage with activities, build confidence and independence, and reach their learning potential.

The role involves one-to-one and small-group support, collaboration with staff to create an inclusive environment, and a focus on personal development, social skills and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS is required.
• GCSE English and Maths (4-9) or equivalent.
• Passion for supporting young people aged 16-19.
• Experience supporting individuals with SEND is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, proactive and flexible approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support to learners with additional needs.
• Help learners access learning activities and participate fully in their education.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement.
• Adapt support to meet individual learning, communication and emotional needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff to promote an inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners with personal development, social skills and progression.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
