Job summary

Nottingham College is recruiting experienced Learning Support Assistants for the Basford campus. This part-time role runs Tuesday to Friday within the Inclusion & Support team.

Successful candidates will provide bespoke support to students with diverse needs across the curriculum, with duties spanning class support and potential personal care as required. We value flexibility, collaboration across college teams, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Supports students with learning difficulties and disabilities across curriculum
• Able to work in challenging environments
• Collaborates with cross-college learning support and curriculum staff to improve inclusion
• Patient and objective interaction with people and situations
• Flexible team player

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support (scribing, reading, exam support, re-focusing)
• Assist with personal care as required (eating, toilet, hoist, transport)
• Liaise with other departments for cross-team support (wellbeing & curriculum)
• Update student records and log safeguarding concerns
