Job summary

Supply Staff Ltd is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for full-time, long-term roles and day-to-day supply across Somerset. You will support students with learning, development and wellbeing, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence in the classroom.

You will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide effective support, promoting positive behaviour and inclusive education. DBS update service compliance is required or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A patient, supportive and adaptable approach.
• Passion for supporting students with their education.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply.
• Full compliance with standard UK school safeguarding regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group learning support.
• Help students access classroom activities and the wider curriculum.
• Support students with additional learning needs where required.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
