Prospero Teaching is delighted to offer an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.

Responsible to: Teacher

Location: Bournemouth

Hours of work: Full-Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring they have access to a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

– Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to implement personalised learning plans and interventions that support student progress and achievement.

– Assist students with classwork, assignments, and activities, providing guidance and encouragement to promote their confidence and independence.

– Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment.

– Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting the individual needs of students.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a school setting.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students in their learning.

– Empathy, patience, and resilience to respond effectively to the varying needs and challenges encountered in supporting students with SEND.

– A passion for education and a commitment to promoting inclusive practice and equal opportunities for all students.

– Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND would be advantageous.
