Job summary

The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery are inviting applications for a charismatic Learning Support Assistant on a fixed-term basis. The role is part-time (27.5 hours per week), term-time only, 47.36 weeks per year, fixed term to 31 August 2027 with start date ASAP.

You will support learning on individualised plans, plan creative activities, work with the SENCo and teachers, and promote inclusive practice, outdoor learning and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND in an inclusive setting.
• Ability to implement strategies like Just Right, Makaton and Visuals.
• Commitment to safeguarding and creating a nurturing learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children on individualized learning plans within a nurturing, inclusive classroom.
• Plan fun, creative, and engaging activities to promote learning.
• Work with the SENCo and teachers to help children reach their best outcomes.
• Dynamically risk assess and manage children's safety during the day.
• Support SEND learners using strategies like Just Right, Makaton, visuals and routines.
