Job summary

Didcot Primary Academy in Didcot is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help KS2 pupils with SEN, supporting engaging and enjoyable learning experiences. You will join a caring team in a wonderful learning environment and contribute to high expectations, care and kindness.

The role is 33.5 hours per week, 8:30am–3:40pm, Monday to Friday with possible part-time days; fixed-term from start until August 2026, with a chance for extension.

Qualifications

• Able to create a haven where children feel safe, valued and happy.
• Patient with a positive approach; willing to learn and support pupils with additional needs.

Responsibilities

• Support children with a range of SEND in KS2 across multiple classes.
• Contribute to a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment.
• Assist with activities, monitor progress and report to teachers.
• Work 33.5 hours per week, 8:30am–3:40pm, Monday/Thursday/Friday when required.
