Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming school in Taplow, starting September 2026. You will provide high-quality classroom and individual support, helping pupils reach their full potential and maintain inclusive lessons aligned with the National Curriculum.

Key responsibilities include assisting teachers, supporting literacy and numeracy, monitoring progress, and contributing to a safe, nurturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping every child reach their full potential.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in the classroom, working with individuals and small groups to promote learning and engagement.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND, where required.
  • Help create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment that encourages confidence and independence.
  • Support pupils with literacy, numeracy, and classroom activities across a range of subjects.
  • Monitor and record pupils' progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and wider school staff.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils to develop strong social and emotional skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCOs, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
