Job summary

SGS Pegasus School is seeking a patient, adaptable colleague who is passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND. You will work with pupils to support learning needs and help create an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment.

Ideally you will have experience supporting children with autism and additional needs, strong communication skills, a calm and positive approach, and effective behaviour management rooted in relational practice.

What we're looking for

We're seeking someone who is patient, adaptable and genuinely passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND.

You will ideally have:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with autism and additional needs

  • A Level 3 or SEND-related qualification
  • Experience supporting pupils working below age-related expectations
  • Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk children
  • Experience supporting intimate care
  • Knowledge of partnership or community working
