Job summary

Academics in Worksop is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support local primary schools on a temporary basis. You will provide one-to-one and small-group help, assist teachers with engaging lessons, and help create an inclusive, safe classroom environment.

The role requires an enhanced DBS check, right to work in the UK, and ideally six months in a classroom. Full training and ongoing CPD opportunities are available through Academics CPD platform.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• DBS certificate and right to work in the UK.
• Six months or more experience in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group support to students to help them thrive.
• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Support students with SEN and adapt resources to meet individual needs.
• Monitor safeguarding of pupils and adhere to policies.
