Job summary

Aspiration Training Ltd. is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to support students’ learning under the direction of teaching staff. You will attend to personal needs, assist with learning activities, and promote safe, inclusive participation across the school day.

Responsibilities include supervising groups and individuals, providing feedback to teachers, assisting with assessments, and helping to maintain a stimulating learning environment while upholding safeguarding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and ensure their safety and access to learning
• Promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development
• Collaborate with teachers to support learning goals
• Provide accurate and constructive feedback to students under teacher guidance
• Set challenging expectations while promoting self-esteem and independence
• Facilitate interaction with others and support engagement in activities led by the teacher
• Promote inclusion and integration of all students
• Assist with supervision during lessons, breaks, lunchtimes, and before/after school
• Track and monitor student progress and report to teachers and SENDCO
• Contribute to assessments and student record-keeping
• Maintain a stimulating, safe learning environment with resources and displays
• Establish constructive relationships with students, parents/carers and professionals
• Liaise with class teachers to communicate with parents/carers and professionals
• Administer first aid as appropriate – training arranged
• Assist in developing and implementing EHCPs/IBPs and Personal Care Programmes
• Monitor changes in behaviour and report concerns
• Support safeguarding and welfare of all students following guidance
• Participate in trips and after-school activities
• Provide administrative support for the teacher/department
• Attend meetings and duties as required
