Job summary

onlyFE at Alton Campus is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to deliver high-quality academic and pastoral support for learners with SEND. The role includes one-to-one and small-group assistance, in and out of class, in collaboration with teaching and learning teams.

The post is permanent, term-time, with a salary of £24,703.40 (Actual £20,950.38) and will close in 14 days. You will support learners to overcome barriers to learning and progress to further study or employment.

Qualifications

• To provide high quality pro-active academic learning support to learners with additional learning needs.
• One-to-one and small group support in and out of class across college sites.
• Work with curriculum staff and external stakeholders to meet learners' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality in-class or small group support to learners with additional learning needs.
• Support learners to achieve alongside peers and remain independent where possible.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure a holistic learner journey.
• Develop understanding of barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these.
