Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team across Southampton primary schools, providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils and assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

You will support pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs, encourage positive behaviour and inclusion, and build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents to promote progress and wellbeing. Contract: Full-time, term time only.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a primary school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of supporting pupils with SEND, including autism, ADHD, or speech and language needs.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to helping children succeed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils, including those with additional learning needs.
• Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting activities to meet diverse needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, inclusion, and personal development.
