Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking Learning Support Assistants to work across specialist schools in Southampton. The role includes one-to-one or small group support for pupils with ASC, ADHD, SLD, SEMH and other needs, with a focus on engagement and emotional regulation while creating a safe learning environment.

Flexible work options are available (1–5 days per week) with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant and opportunities for long-term roles. Pay is £14.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals.
• Patient, empathetic and reliable nature.
• Ability to build positive relationships.
• Comfortable working within specialist settings.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.
• Encouraging engagement and emotional regulation.
