Job summary

Coleg Gwent is seeking an Additional Support Assistant to support learners with additional learning needs during term time. The role requires 16.5 hours weekly, 9am–4:30pm, with potential for Welsh language use and training.

Applicants should have Level 2 with four GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade C or above. Experience with young people who have difficulties or disabilities is essential, and the post may involve personal care as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs.
• Ability to work 16.5 hours per week during term time.
• Willingness to undertake DBS check and EWC registration.

Responsibilities

• Support learners on a 1:1 basis, including personal care when needed.
• Work with groups, coordinating with curriculum and campus support teams to help learners reach potential.
