Job summary

Coleg Gwent is seeking an inspiring Additional Support Assistant to help learners with additional learning needs access the curriculum. This hourly paid, term-time position is minimum 22 hours per week and fixed term to 09/07/27.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support and group activities, may assist with personal care, and work closely with curriculum and campus support teams. Qualifications include Level 2 with four GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above; Welsh

Qualifications

• Experience working with learners with difficulties and/or disabilities.
• Level 2 with four GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Willingness to provide 1:1 support and group work.

Responsibilities

• Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in groups.
• Provide personal care when needed.
• Collaborate with curriculum and campus support teams to help learners reach potential.
• Welsh language ability is desirable (basic level or training).
