Job summary

VN Appointments in Wickford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream primary school. The role runs 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, providing support to pupils and additional help for children with SEND in a friendly setting.

You will work closely with teaching staff to keep pupils engaged, support access to the curriculum, and foster a calm, patient classroom atmosphere while using ICT to enhance learning.

Location: Wickford, Basildon

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Days: Monday - Friday

Setting: Mixed Mainstream Primary School

We are currently looking for an experienced and caring Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Wickford area.

This is a five-day-per-week position, working from 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting pupils within the school and providing additional support to children with SEND.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with children with additional needs
• Have experience supporting pupils with ASD
• Be confident working with pre-verbal children
• Have a calm, patient and caring approach
