Job summary

Long-Term Teachers Ltd is recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant in a Bristol primary school's Autistic Resource Base (BS13). The role is full-time and aims to support children with ASD within a dedicated resource base, as the school expands.

The successful candidate will work closely with SEN staff, providing nurturing, safe learning environments, and delivering creative activities while communicating with families. A September start is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils.

  • Communicate with families about pupil progress and needs.
  • Maintain high expectations for each pupil.

A fabulous Primary School in the BS13 area of Bristol is seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Resource Base room as they are expanding.


There are currently 2 classrooms in the school with staff supporting children with ASD needs.


This school is part of a large Trust who cultivate a welcoming and inclusive school community for their pupils. They are passionate about delivering rich learning experiences.


The Role

As a successful candidate, you will be working closely with a number of SEND Teaching Assistants with great experience.


The Head Teacher is looking for candidates with embedded knowledge and experience working with SEN children, someone who is flexible, caring and nurturing, someone to provide a safe learning environment for the children to grow and develop.


You will be expected to:



  • Have high expectations of the pupil you will be working with.

  • Previous experience working with SEN children.

  • Have knowledge of ASD.

  • Resource creative activities to meet the needs of the pupil.

  • Communicate closely with the families.
