Job summary

Confidential is seeking a dedicated part-time/full-time role to provide learning support for 16-19 learners at our Uxbridge location. The role involves mentoring, promoting engagement, and assisting tutors in classroom activities.

Key responsibilities include supporting learners with barriers, encouraging attendance and behaviour, and fostering confidence and employability skills. Collaboration with staff and external agencies is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners aged 16-19.
• Ability to re-engage disengaged learners and help them progress.
• Assist tutors in delivering classroom activities and programmes.
• Promote attendance, participation and positive behaviour.
• Mentor learners and build professional relationships.
• Help learners develop confidence, resilience and employability skills.
• Coordinate with tutors and external agencies to ensure learner support.

Location: Uxbridge

Job Type: Part time (4 days per week) or full time (5 days)

Pay: £16.69 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience supporting young people, preferably aged 16-19.
• Be passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be patient, empathetic, and resilient.
• Have experience in an education, training, mentoring, youth work, or support setting.
• Understand safeguarding responsibilities and the needs of vulnerable young people.
