Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant in Thornbury to support pupils across KS1 and KS2 and assist classroom teachers. The role is on-site, full-time and temporary, with a requirement to travel to the school Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will help create an inclusive learning environment and support pupils’ academic, social and personal development, working closely with the school team.

• Experience in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Able to travel reliably to the school Monday to Friday.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time temporary basis, working Monday to Friday across Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with their learning and development, work alongside classroom teachers and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children within a primary school or similar educational setting
• Experience working with pupils across KS1 and KS2
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with different learning needs
• The ability to drive and travel reliably to the school
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting children
