TeacherActive Limited is seeking a Learning Support Assistant (SEND) for temporary, long-term assignments at partner colleges in the South East region. You will provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to learners with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers, build confidence, and progress academically.

The role involves collaboration with teachers to implement learning plans, with potential for ongoing placements.

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join on a long-term temporary basis until the end of the academic year, with potential for further opportunities.

In this role, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs
• Help remove barriers to learning and promote confidence and independence
• Support students’ academic progress and personal development
• Work closely with teaching staff to implement learning plans and schemes of learning
• Play a key role in helping learners achieve their goals and succeed in college

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Level 2 minimum in English and Maths
• Recent and demonstrable experience of supporting people with additional learning needs.
• Experience working with ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH, BSL
• A calm, patient, and caring personality
• Ability to operate with empathy and the ability to motivate others
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Able to work independently using own initiative
• Able to note take for students
• A clear understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
