Job summary

OneSchool Global UK Tewkesbury Campus is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team and help students reach their full potential. You will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support, both in the classroom and in small group or one-to-one interventions.

You will help students access learning, overcome barriers to learning, and contribute to an inclusive environment where every pupil can flourish. A relevant TA or support qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational setting.
• Patient, caring and committed to supporting student achievement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom-based support to students with additional learning needs.
• Assist in implementing individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
• Support students to develop confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet student needs.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to support strategies and reviews.
• Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing throughout the school day.
• Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Role

• Has a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, a relevant teaching assistant or support qualification (desirable).
