Job description

Vision are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to be in the classroom supporting a student on a 1:1 basis at a lovely school in Peterborough to start in September 2025.

About The Role

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience supporting children within a classroom setting. The role will start as a temporary position and can become permanent after an 18-week period if the placement is successful. You will spend the mornings working 1:1 with a child in Year 2, assisting with the development and implementation of their education, and ensuring they understand the curriculum. As with any 1:1 TA role, it will involve encouraging the child to interact with others and engage in activities provided by the teacher.

This is a school in Peterborough with an established staff team and a fun ethos. The school encourages children to step out of their comfort zones to build self-esteem and broaden horizons. They are keen to challenge their staff with new training and progression opportunities.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS (on update service) - We can run one if you don't have one
• Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (preferable but not essential if experienced)
• Experience working on a 1:1 basis

Salary

£89 to £109 per day, dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
