Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for primary schools in the UK. No formal Teaching Assistant qualification is required, and both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Candidates with transferable experience such as tutoring, youth work, sports coaching, or childcare are welcome to apply. The role focuses on supporting pupils in the classroom, providing 1:1 and small-group support, assisting with reading, writing and maths, and supporting pupils with SEND.

That doesn't necessarily mean you can't build a career in education.

Aspire People are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for primary schools and are particularly interested in people with transferable experience working with children and young people.

You could have worked as a tutor, youth worker, sports coach, mentor, childcare professional, nursery practitioner, teaching volunteer, or in another child-focused role.

Your existing experience could give you many of the skills needed to succeed in a primary school.

The Role:
  • Supporting pupils within the classroom
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support

  • Supporting pupils with SEND where required
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
