Job summary

Laurus Trust is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils, including those with SEND, in our school in Greater Manchester. The role focuses on helping students thrive and succeed through targeted classroom support and collaboration with teachers.

The position is 31 hours per week, term-time only, mainly when school is open to pupils. Flexible arrangements are considered, and we welcome applications from passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive difference in students'

Qualifications

• Sound educational background including GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience of working with young people who are vulnerable and/or who have special educational needs

• Assist teachers to promote student progress, independence, self-esteem and social inclusion

This position is contracted on a 31 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.

• Support identified students within the classroom environment, within small group situations, in both the mainstream classes and resource base classes.
• Work with teachers to enhance student progress, whilst also promoting their independence, self- esteem and social inclusion.

Key Skills & Experience
