Laurus Trust is seeking Learning Support Assistants in Manchester to help ensure all pupils, including those with SEND, can thrive and succeed. This role is 35 hours per week, term-time only, with permanent and fixed-term contracts (until 31/08/2027).
You will support identified students in classrooms and small groups, collaborate with teachers to boost progress, and promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.

This position is contracted on a 35 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.
Job Purpose: Support identified students within the classroom environment, within small group situations, in both the mainstream classes and resource base classes. Work with teachers to enhance student progress, whilst also promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
Key Skills & Experience: Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent. Experience of working with young people who are vulnerable and/or who have special educational needs.
