Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a SEN school in Dartford seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a full-time, long-term assignment. You will provide 1-1 support, assist pupils during lessons and help ensure their safety and wellbeing in the classroom.

The role requires experience with SEN, challenging behaviour, and personal care, with safeguarding at the forefront. PAYE payments and ongoing CPD support are included.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and additional needs.
• Experience providing 1-1 support to pupils.
• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
• Confidence supporting children with personal care and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-1 support to assigned pupils.
• Assist pupils during lessons and transitions.
• Support pupils with personal care where required and monitor safety.

South East/ temporary / £90 - 115 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a SEN school in Dartford who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. The school supports children with additional needs and provides a safe and supportive learning environment where pupils can access their education and receive the individual care they require.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful Learning Support Assistant will provide 1-1 support, assist pupils during lessons, support children with personal care and challenging behaviour, and help to ensure their safety and wellbeing within the classroom.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEN and additional needs
• Experience providing 1-1 support
• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
• Confidence supporting children with personal care
• A patient, caring and resilient approach
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
