Job summary

TLTP Education in London is seeking a Caring Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD in a Camden primary school. You will assist with academic progress, life skills and daily routines, helping the pupil gain independence and confidence.

This role is long-term, full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm, with an ASAP start. You will work closely with the class teacher and school team to adapt activities, support communication and social engagement, and

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with ASD or additional needs (desirable).
• Patient, calm and nurturing approach.
• Ability to support children with individual learning needs.
• Strong communication with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

Learning Support Assistant - Key Responsibilities

Learning Support Assistant - About You

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Previous experience supporting children with ASD or additional needs — desirable.

• Confidence supporting academic development and independence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• A consistent and encouraging approach to supporting behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Ability to work effectively alongside teachers and the wider school team.
• A flexible and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for helping children learn, develop and become more independent.
