Job summary

Vision for Education are seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in Hailsham. This full-time role provides 1:1 and small-group support for two KS1 children, helping them access learning and grow confidence in the classroom.

You will work with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support and create an inclusive environment where pupils feel valued. The role starts September 2026 on a fixed-term basis with competitive PAYE rates.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting (KS1 experience desirable).
  • A nurturing, patient, and positive approach.
  • The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
  • Confidence supporting children with additional needs.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Learning Support Assistant (Full Time)

Hailsham

£14.24 - £14.50 per hour (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

September 2026 Start (FTC) - Can start 1st June 2026

The School and Role

Vision for Education are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a nurturing primary school in Hailsham. This fulltime role involves providing 1:1 and smallgroup support for two children in KS1, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support, implement strategies, and create a positive, inclusive environment where both children feel valued, understood, and encouraged.

Requirements
