Vision for Education is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant for a long-term role in Burgess Hill. You will work alongside the class teacher to support students with SEND and learning difficulties, including personal care where needed. The role involves 1:1 and small group support in a welcoming SEN setting.

Learning Support Assistant
Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: £490-£500 per week
Start Date: September
Contract: Permanent (temp to perm)

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive classroom team. In this role as a learning support assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEND and a range of learning difficulties. Duties will include providing personal care where required, such as assisting with toileting, feeding, and general daily living tasks. You will work with students both 1:1 and in small groups. This long-term role is available for an immediate start and will become permanent for the right candidate.

The School

This welcoming SEN school, located in Burgess Hill, supports pupils aged 2-19 and places high value on meeting each child’s individual needs, including personal care. Staff frequently praise the positive, inclusive atmosphere and the strong support offered across the team. There is also weekly CPD training provided for all staff offering great career progression. To be successful in this Learning Support Assistant role, you should have:
