Job summary

The Chelmsford Learning Partnership is seeking an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to support identified students with special educational needs and/or disabilities, enabling access to the curriculum. You will work with a dedicated team within the Learning Support Faculty, bringing patience, approachability and a positive attitude.

Duties include promoting positive pupil behaviour, supporting pupils according to individual needs, and assisting with planned activities in collaboration with

  • GCSE English and Maths (minimum) and A Levels or equivalent.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, caring and energetic person to join our Learning Support Faculty. The team are dedicated, positive and friendly. You should be approachable, patient and understanding to support identified students with special educational needs and/or disabilities to enable them to access the curriculum. You will Many of our Learning support assistants have had the opportunity to progress into Teaching with our Teacher Training schemes.

Duties involved:
  • Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with school policies and help keep pupils on task
  • Interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills
  • Implement planned learning activities/teaching programmes as agreed with the teacher, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate
