Job summary

Barnes Farm Primary School is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join us for 17.5 hours per week. You will be committed to supporting all pupils including those with additional needs, and work within a fantastic, supportive and welcoming team.

The role requires enthusiasm, positivity, initiative, and the ability to follow direction while maintaining high standards of care and organisation. A good standard of Maths/English and ICT knowledge are beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Experience of supporting children in a school setting.
  • Able to support medical needs and intimate care.
  • Knowledge of strategies to engage pupils with significant needs.
  • Patience, calmness and flexibility at all times.
  • Commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves.
  • Excellent organisation and inter-personal skills.
  • GCSE Maths and English A-C or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of ICT.
  • Willing to undertake training and support individual needs.
  • Ability to use their own initiative.

Job description

Hours: 17.5, 08:30am - 12pm Monday - Friday

We are looking to appoint Learning Support Assistant to join us for 17.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be committed to supporting all pupils including those with additional needs. In this role, you would be working within a fantastic, supportive and welcoming team. Requirements
  • Experience of supporting children in a school setting
  • Able to support the child's medical needs and willing to deal with intimate care needs

  • A commitment to high achievement from pupils and themselves
