Teaching Personnel are looking for a full time Learning Support Assistant to work in a mainstream primary school in Burnley. This will be a specialised role in educating pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). The pupils come from a variety of backgrounds and either have an Education Health Care Plan (ECHP) or are undergoing statutory assessment. The students will have all been identified as having additional needs and as such are better suited to 1:1 or 2:1 learning and will have an individualised curriculum based on their specific needs.
The school support young people to develop their emotional wellbeing and social skills. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support the school to develop students to cope better with the things they find challenging whether this is during their school day or at home.
Applicants will be working in a classroom supporting teachers, assistants and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils. The successful Learning Support Assistant will help establish positive and healthy relationships, emotional wellbeing and developing social skills. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone who is fancying a change in career or if you have a keen interest in special needs.
Hours- 8.30am- 3.30pm
Full Time Monday- Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
