Job description

We are currently recruiting for energetic and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants at our partnered school, working with children with severe and profound disabilities. You will be relentless in achieving high standards and caring for these pupils during their crucial foundation years and onto their next steps.

We are looking for someone who relishes a challenge and wants to make a genuine positive difference in the lives of children and young people. We offer a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training to ensure everyone has the best possible start to their employment.

Our students have a range of disabilities, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Autism (ASC), and Complex Needs. The schools are based across 5 sites, ranging from Infants, Juniors, Secondary, Sixth Form and Behavioural setting.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience in a similar background (desirable)
  • Have experience with family or friends with disabilities such as Autism (desirable)
  • Show resilience and confidence in working with challenging behaviour
  • Be able to work 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, providing them the time and support they need to learn
  • Demonstrate strong behavioural management skills
  • Have a strong willingness to learn and expand their skillset within this sector
  • Be energetic and enthusiastic with a commitment to inclusion
  • Be proactive and adaptable
