TeacherActive Ltd is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant in Berwick-upon-Tweed to support secondary pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis. The role is long-term, starts ASAP, and requires patience, resilience and strong classroom collaboration.

You will join a school team, with on-site hours, and you will be paid PAYE at daily rates of £147-£160. This post offers ongoing support through a dedicated consultant network and opportunities for CPD.

Are you a patient and resilient Learning Support Assistant who can help pupils engage positively with their education?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a secondary school in Berwick-upon-Tweed that supports pupils with a range of needs, including SEMH. The school is looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant who can build positive relationships with pupils and provide consistent support throughout the school day.

The school is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a long-term basis, starting ASAP. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with SEMH needs on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them engage with learning and access the support they need within the secondary school environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils
• Confidence providing 1:1 and small group support
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, resilient and positive approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a school team
