Job summary

Tempest Resourcing Limited is seeking a compassionate SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with an EHCP. You will provide 1:1 support, help with learning activities, and promote wellbeing under the guidance of a qualified teacher.

The role requires at least 1 year of TA experience, preferably with ASD, GCSE English and Maths, and a positive, patient approach. Knowledge of the National Curriculum is advantageous; safeguarding checks will apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant.
• Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly desirable.
• GCSE English and Maths.
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum is advantageous.

In this rewarding role, you will provide personalised 1:1 support, helping a child achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Working under the guidance of a qualified teacher, you will assist with learning activities, wellbeing support, and the implementation of tailored educational programmes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
• Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is highly desirable
• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
• Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting children's learning and development
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum is advantageous
