Job summary

All Hallows School in Somerset is seeking a proactive Learning Support Assistant Apprentice to join our caring team. You will work under the SENDCo and teachers to support pupils and tailor learning activities to individual needs.

The fixed-term apprenticeship offers hands-on experience, a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, and opportunities to grow in classroom management, communication, and teamwork within a warm, inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting pupils in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and organisational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Support individual pupils and small groups with reading, maths, or language tasks.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and adapting learning materials.
• Maintain a safe, encouraging environment inside and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to broader school life through involvement in sports, drama, or music.
