Job summary

The Norton Knatchbull School is seeking a Teaching Assistant Specialist for a Level 5 Apprenticeship with a SEND focus. The role supports students aged 11 to 18 in a secondary setting, delivering 1:1 help and targeted interventions under supervision.

Qualifications

• Level 3 TA qualification required.
• Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE 5+) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to access learning.
• Keep detailed records of learning and provide feedback to teachers.
• Organise and deliver small-group interventions.
• Support colleagues and work with teachers, parents and carers to improve outcomes.
• Maintain safeguarding, health and wellbeing of pupils.
