Job summary

Altrincham College seeks a Learning Resource Centre Manager and Wellbeing Coordinator to ensure a well-resourced LRC that supports the Y7–11 curriculum and promotes literacy and equality. The role also oversees wellbeing and serves as the lead first aider, contributing to a safe school environment.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to build relationships with students, and willing to undergo DBS checks as part of safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to develop positive working relationships with young people.
• Willingness to undertake enhanced DBS checks and safeguarding training.
• Comfortable in a busy secondary school environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Learning Resource Centre to support Y7–11 curriculum.
• Promote reading and literacy across the school and raise achievement.
• Coordinate wellbeing and act as lead first aider for the site.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure safe, effective day‑to‑day operations.
