Job summary

Altrincham College requires a Learning Resource Centre Manager and Wellbeing Coordinator to lead and develop the school library, support Reading and Literacy strategies, and enhance student learning across Y7–Y11. The role is permanent and full-time (36.25 hours/week, term-time).

The successful candidate will oversee library resources, champion independent learning, and work closely with senior leaders to deliver wellbeing and inclusion initiatives, safeguarding, and first-aid responsibilities

Qualifications

• English and Maths GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
• Post-16 qualifications or a degree or professional qualification.
• Trained to give medication is desirable or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Learning Resource Centre and promote its use across the curriculum.
• Support reading and literacy strategies across the school.
• Liaise with departments to provide access to resources and run inductions.
