Job summary

Callerton Academy in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Learning Resource Centre Assistant to manage the LRC, support students and staff, and ensure a welcoming, well-organised learning space.

You will promote reading for pleasure, help develop independent learning skills, and work with the Whole School Reading Co-ordinator to foster a positive reading culture across the Academy.

This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a community-focused school with development and training opportunities.

Job description

Your Role

We are seeking a Learning Resource Centre Assistant to help create an engaging, welcoming and well-organised learning environment for our students. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Learning Resource Centre, supporting students and staff to access a wide range of resources, promoting reading for pleasure, and helping to develop students' independent learning and study skills. Working closely with the Whole School Reading Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in fostering a positive reading culture across the Academy.
